Hi, I’m Rakshith Bangalore Kumaraswamy, a passionate Mechanical Engineer with a knack for innovation and a drive to create impactful solutions. My career journey so far has been defined by curiosity, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in design and engineering.
I hold a First-Class MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in mechatronics and industrial automation from Nottingham Trent University. My expertise lies in CAD modeling, robotics, and process optimization, and I thrive on transforming ideas into tangible, functional designs. From creating a digital twin of an aircraft cabin laboratory to designing a laparoscopic surgery trainer for the NHS, my work spans diverse industries, but it always comes back to problem-solving and precision.
Currently, I’m working as a Research Assistant at Nottingham Trent University in collaboration with PepsiCo International. My role focuses on designing and developing a humanoid robot cell for factory testing and simulation. This project lets me combine cutting-edge robotics with a hands-on approach to design for manufacturing (DFM)—a perfect blend of creativity and technical rigor.
Beyond my professional work, I’ve also dived into the entrepreneurial world by founding HNYD.co.uk, a sustainable 3D printing business. Securing startup funding from the Dryden Enterprise Centre, I turned my designs into eco-conscious products that bridge innovation and sustainability.
My career is driven by a love for making complex ideas simple and functional. Whether I’m managing projects, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, or crafting the next big design, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute.
